Mittagessen KW50/2017 | Lunch plans week 50/2017

English version below

2. Graupensuppe
Das perfekte Essen für Wintertage! (Rezept)

3. Thai Curry
Thai Curry ist ja immer gut, wenn man Gemüse essen möchte und was schönes Heißes haben will. Am Schluss ist es immer toll. (Rezept)

Da kann man machen was man will. Knoblauch sollte man nicht vergessen ;)

English version

The time before Christmas is always so busy... this makes it even more important to plan what you're going to eat!

1. Kässpätzle with broccoli
This has always been my favorite meal. Kässpätzle are basically the Germans' (names for the meals vary regionally, and I am sure there are plenty of Swiss and Austrians who will claim this dish for their hometown or country) mac and cheese. Just more amazing. They involve homemade spätzle pasta, which are traditionally made with eggs. But you really don't need those. Here's the recipe.

2. Pearl barley soup
A great choice for cold winter days! (recipe)

3. Thai Curry
Thai Curry is always nice if you want a hot meal and lots of veggies. It always ends up great. (recipe)

4. Pasta with fresh veggies
A pan full of pasta with nice things like cherry tomatoes, zucchini, maybe broccoli, olives, fresh basil... you can really do whatever you like. Just don't forget about the garlic ;)

5. Potatoes, creamy spinach, tofu fingers
This is the third meal of the day that I've loved since my childhood! Sure, back in the day, we had fish fingers, but fortunately our local Aldi sell excellent tofu fingers. In terms of spinach, I'll have to see if I buy creamed spinach (there are vegan versions of it available in Germany) or if I just use frozen spinach and a bit of cream.
